About the Role
The Global Commercial Solution Architect will be a key member of our global transformational core team, responsible for architecting, designing, and building platform solutions that support our Commercial Agility Transformation (CAT 2.0) ambition. Operating at the Global Pet Nutrition level within the PN Architecture of Tomorrow (AOT) team, you will collaborate with Pet Nutrition Global Commercial Digital Product teams and Business leaders to define and architect Commercial Digital products.
This role focuses on IT Infrastructure, Systems, and Solution Architecture to develop core technical platforms, capabilities, and services that support PN Commercial business processes and data. Key activities include mapping relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components, identifying technology interactions and dependencies, and evaluating total cost of ownership and ROI of IT alternatives.
Responsibilities include owning and maintaining detailed solution designs (HLD/LLD) for each sprint/release increment, managing data flows, integration sequencing, and embedding non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security. You will lead the technical implementation pattern, working closely with data science and ML engineering teams, participate in sprint planning and architecture syncs, and translate program roadmaps into detailed architecture specifications.
You will define architecture patterns for GenAI/LLM-based solutions, evaluate build-versus-buy decisions for AI capabilities, architect integration patterns between Commercial systems and enterprise data platforms, and lead vendor evaluations including PoCs and RFPs. Presenting and defending designs at Architecture Review Boards and collaborating with enterprise architects to ensure alignment with overall strategies are essential parts of the role.
Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies, you will drive innovation within the organisation while facilitating effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience
- Hands-on experience architecting multi-step agentic AI workflows, including agent-to-agent orchestration, context and memory management, and integration of LLM-based reasoning with enterprise data sources and APIs
- Experience evaluating vendor and open-source agentic AI platforms against enterprise requirements, including assessing agent reliability, hallucination risk, tool-call accuracy, cost-per-task, and observability
- 8 to 10 years in a Digital Tech role focused on software development, implementation, architecture, and design
- Working knowledge of Commercial domain platforms relevant to CPG (e.g., CRM, Trade Promotion Management, Revenue Growth Management), API integration, and ERP systems
- Hands-on experience designing and building solutions on Azure and Google Cloud platforms, with knowledge of data analytics and machine learning concepts
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in the Commercial domain
- Practical experience with at least one AI/ML implementation pattern in production
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and best practices
