About the Role
Join our Asset Management team as an Associate, supporting the management of a diverse portfolio of complex commercial real estate loans across the UK, Europe, and APAC. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including origination, credit, legal, and middle office to deliver high-quality results. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in real estate finance within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As an Associate, you will assist the Executive Director in managing loans and loan-on-loans secured by real estate financings, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day loan management. Responsibilities include financial modelling, tracking deliverables, managing significant loan events, and reviewing borrower information throughout the loan life-cycle, covering both income producing and development commercial real estate loans.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director in managing a portfolio of UK, European, and APAC real estate loans and loan-on-loans
- Collaborate with loan originators, structurers, credit, middle office, and legal teams to review finance documents and management information
- Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day loan management internally and with external stakeholders
- Address queries promptly and prepare recommendations for senior management
- Assist in creating financial models, tracking deliverables, and managing significant loan events
- Liaise with borrowers, facility agents, and representatives to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Review waiver and modification requests, analyse impacts, and prepare recommendations
- Review draft transfers, waterfalls, redemption statements, and calculations for accuracy
- Coordinate with third-party advisors, borrowers, and lenders on development loan drawdowns and funding recommendations
- Produce internal monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports
- Manage book tasks such as review of P&L, balance sheet projections, and capital allocations
Experience
- Proven experience in real estate lending or loan management, focusing on finance or real estate sectors
- Experience managing both income producing and development commercial real estate loans preferred
- Familiarity with asset management tasks and loan-on-loan structures preferred
- Proven ability to analyse complex financial data and create detailed reports

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related field
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
- This role involves UK regulated activity; the successful candidate must meet UK regulatory requirements including fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence assessments and may require approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or Prudential Regulation Authority
