About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Javelin Global Commodities’ Accounting team reporting into the Head of Accounting. The team consists of twelve employees and forms part of the wider Finance department, which includes Tax and Trade Finance, all reporting into the Chief Financial Officer. You will regularly interact with Trading, Technology, Logistics and Settlements teams. This role is ideal for an individual interested in pursuing an accounting career within the Commodities industry. The successful candidate must have already started or be ready to commence their ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.

Key responsibilities include building strong relationships across the company, daily invoice posting and cash matching, posting month-end journals, preparing reconciliations between the risk management and accounting systems, and managing accounting for small entities. Additional responsibilities will develop over time, providing a broad exposure to the business and finance functions.

Experience
- Degree educated (Finance or Maths related degree preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and highly adept with Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive and solution-orientated approach
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and able to collaborate effectively with a global team

About you
A capable, enthusiastic individual who is a self-starter, able to work under pressure and comfortable with taking initiative.
