About the Role
The FA's Grassroots Division is seeking a Grassroots Data & Intelligence Manager to transform the use of data, delivering insights and decision-support tools that shape decisions and maximise impact across grassroots football. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with potential extension dependent on funding.

You will lead a team of Grassroots Data Analysts, setting standards for technical quality, stakeholder engagement, and professional development. You will own the Grassroots Data & Intelligence roadmap, managing intake, triage, and resource planning to maximise delivery and impact.

Working closely with Grassroots and County FA stakeholders, you will define requirements for Place Profiles, a key enabler for the next phase of grassroots football. You will collaborate with technical teams to prioritise and integrate external data sources such as ONS, health, demographic, and local authority datasets.

Your responsibilities include overseeing the planning, development, and maintenance of Place Profiles to ensure outputs are accurate, actionable, user-friendly, and aligned with best-practice data storytelling. You will drive adoption through feedback workshops, user acceptance testing, training, demos, and guidance to build capability across the Grassroots Division and County FA network.

Additionally, you will investigate and leverage AI and advanced analytics to enhance insight delivery by identifying, testing, and embedding tools that automate analysis, improve accessibility, and simplify complex data.

Championing data governance and quality, you will work with technical teams to improve data pipelines, resolve quality issues, and maintain documentation. Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, you will understand their needs, challenge assumptions, and foster a culture of data-driven decision making.

You will also execute additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities and comply with all company policies to maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and well-being. A DBS check will be required as part of the FA's commitment to a safe environment for everyone in football.
