About the Role
The FA's Grassroots Division is seeking a purpose-led Impact Manager with strong analytical skills to lead the development and delivery of a robust impact framework for grassroots football. This role will ensure The FA and County FAs can clearly evidence the difference football makes locally and nationally. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a national impact framework aligned with The FA Grassroots Strategy and County FAs, evolving The FA's Social Return on Investment (SROI) approach, and supporting County FAs to embed impact measurement through tools, training, and guidance. The role involves working closely with football partners, Sport England, and internal teams to ensure robust data collection, integration, and analysis, and to build a compelling narrative on the social and economic value of grassroots football. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension subject to funding. The role also requires compliance with company policies, including health, safety, and well-being standards, and completion of a DBS check in line with legislation and government guidance.

Experience
- Developing or delivering impact, evaluation or performance frameworks
- Working across multiple stakeholders or delivery partners to embed consistent approaches
- Translating data and evidence into clear reporting and recommendations
- Working with complex datasets and/or insight outputs to inform decision-making
- Presenting insights to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling way

About you
- Strategic thinker able to design and implement frameworks linking impact measurement to organisational priorities and long-term strategy
- Strong relationship-builder with the ability to support, challenge and influence diverse stakeholders including County FAs and senior leaders
- Skilled in problem-solving and framing complex impact questions into clear methodologies and practical approaches
- Strong analytical and insight skills with the ability to interpret data and translate into actionable insights
- Excellent influencing, storytelling and communication skills to present complex concepts clearly and accessibly

Beneficial Skills and Experience
- Understanding of Social Value / SROI methodologies and practical application
- Familiarity with public sector outcomes frameworks (health, education, crime, community)
- Experience working within sport, physical activity or place-based systems
- Experience working with datasets such as ONS, Active Lives or local authority data
- Experience delivering or supporting SROI analysis
- Experience influencing investment decisions through evidence and insight
