About the Role
Get Golfing CIO, a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting struggling English golf facilities and preventing club closures, is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Arkley Golf Club. With thirteen owned and operated sites, 6,000 members, and over 130,000 unique visitors each year, we are committed to providing enjoyable dining experiences for players and visitors alike. The Head Chef plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and service are maintained across our venues.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity, manage kitchen staff, and lead the development and implementation of new menus. Key responsibilities include shaping the brief for site teams using your creative flair and understanding of food hospitality and business drivers, producing menus that meet our guiding principles and commercial expectations, and ensuring the daily updating, monitoring, and accountability of the allergen management process.
You will also be responsible for near miss and accident reporting to ensure achievement of Health and Safety standards, developing recipes within the capability and equipment constraints, supporting kitchens across the group in their professional development, and working closely with the Group Catering Manager to fully cost and document all recipes and ingredients to deliver the business’s strategic objectives.
Collaboration with Club House teams, Sales, and Marketing is essential to realise our shared vision consistently across all sites.
Experience
- Proven background in menu development and programmes that deliver financial forecasts
- Experience managing waste and stock loss
- Experience producing scalable recipe specifications
- Experience delivering training sessions that inspire, including training, production, serving guides, and merchandising guidelines for operational colleagues
- Background in managing kitchen teams and developing others
- Familiarity with food safety, cleanliness, allergen awareness, and health and safety best practices
About You

- Open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds including B&I contract catering, hotels, restaurants, sports and leisure sector
- Knowledge or experience in Jewish cuisine is not essential but welcomed

Qualifications
- Relevant culinary qualifications preferred but not explicitly required
- Commitment to maintaining and upholding best practice for food safety, cleanliness, allergen-awareness, and health and safety in the workplace
