About the Role
We are Company of Cooks, a team passionate about brilliant food and drink, delivering exceptional experiences at some of the UK’s most loved cultural destinations. We are seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our prestigious Livery Hall in the City of London. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional British and European fine dining and brasserie-style cuisine to the highest standard. Your role includes preparing and overseeing all food preparation to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation, producing food in a timely manner to ensure smooth and efficient service, and planning, developing, and costing seasonal menus that meet client and customer expectations.
You will bring creativity and innovation to menu development while considering customer preferences, manage stock and ingredient availability, and maintain outstanding food quality, hygiene, and food safety standards. You will lead the day-to-day kitchen operations, especially during the early stages of the new site opening, working independently while collaborating closely with the wider Craft team for support.
As a leader, you will motivate and develop the kitchen team through regular coaching and performance feedback. Ensuring full compliance with food safety, COSHH, allergen management, and all health and safety procedures is essential. You will also ensure all kitchen team members have completed and maintain up-to-date Food Hygiene and COSHH training. Building strong relationships with the General Manager, clients, and suppliers to deliver an exceptional dining experience is a key part of this role.
Experience
Proven experience leading a kitchen in a fine dining or brasserie-style environment, with strong skills in British and European cuisine. Experience managing kitchen operations, menu planning, costing, and stock control is essential.

Qualifications
Up-to-date Food Hygiene and COSHH training is required, with a commitment to maintaining these standards for yourself and your team. Relevant culinary qualifications and health and safety certifications are desirable.
