About the Role
Situated in the heart of the historic city of York, with an additional vibrant London Campus, York St John University is a distinguished higher education provider committed to inclusion, innovation, and ambition. The London Campus, established in 2018, offers a diverse range of postgraduate taught programmes, Master’s in Research and Top-Up Degrees, primarily in business, healthcare management, and technology fields. With approximately 3,400 students and a dedicated team of over 70 faculty and staff, the campus provides a dynamic educational environment.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the Employability and Enterprise team at the London Campus, driving employability activity and delivering high-quality services for a diverse community of postgraduate and undergraduate international students. A key focus is overseeing placements at scale, especially for two-year master’s programmes featuring a Year in Professional Experience.
You will build and manage strong employer partnerships to create pipelines for placements, work experience, graduate recruitment, and executive education. You will develop impactful employer-student engagement events, sponsorships, and industry collaborations that enhance graduate outcomes and strengthen the university’s reputation.
Providing strategic leadership to the Employability and Enterprise team, you will ensure services are distinctive, student-focused, and aligned with industry needs. You will also lead the Enterprise Academy, supporting entrepreneurs and embedding enterprise across the curriculum, and oversee the business incubator that fosters innovation and entrepreneurial growth.
Additionally, you will develop and maintain a strong London Campus alumni community, creating opportunities for mentoring, placements, and wider engagement to benefit students and graduates.

Proven leadership experience in careers, employability, or enterprise services with a strong track record of employer engagement and partnership development.
