About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Finance Business Partnering to join our developing and newly repositioned Finance team on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for delivering appropriate budget reporting through future-focused, strategic, and inclusive business partnering relationships across Shakespeare’s Globe between budget holders and the Finance Business Partner team. You will lead a team that understands budget holders’ perspectives, their concerns, and the reasons behind their previous decisions, holding them to account while inspiring new ways of working to achieve financial budgeting goals. The role requires working within and connecting the interdependencies of how work impacts other teams and expenditure. You will identify when budget decisions are driven by emotions rather than business strategy and ensure objectivity while gaining buy-in. We seek a gentle and collaborative disruptor, not an enabler.

About Shakespeare’s Globe
We celebrate Shakespeare’s transformative impact on the world by conducting a radical theatrical experiment. Inspired by the unique historic playing conditions of two iconic theatres, our diverse programme harnesses the power of performance, cultivates intellectual curiosity, and excites learning to make Shakespeare accessible for all.

Benefits
- Discount in the Globe shop and onsite restaurants/cafes
- Staff discounts via My Globe perks and better Bankside Buzzcard
- Free entry to selected shows, events and activities
- Access to our free employee assistance programme and 24/7 virtual GP service
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave and pay
- Life assurance scheme
- Rental deposit scheme and season ticket loans
- Flu vaccination scheme
- Cycle to work scheme
- Enhanced employer pension contributions after 12 months service

About you
You are a strategic thinker who understands the concerns and motivations of budget holders and can hold them accountable while inspiring change. You possess strong interpersonal skills to gain buy-in and maintain objectivity. You are collaborative yet able to challenge constructively, acting as a gentle disruptor to improve financial decision-making.

Qualifications
Relevant professional finance qualifications and experience in a senior finance business partnering role are desirable. A commitment to diversity and inclusion and the ability to work within a culturally rich and diverse organisation is essential.
