About the Role
This is an important senior finance leadership role at an exciting time for Hexagon Housing. Reporting to the Finance & IT Director and as a key member of the Leadership Team, you will lead the Finance function and play a central role in maintaining Hexagon's financial resilience and supporting the delivery of the corporate strategy.

You will be responsible for financial management, business planning, long-term financial modelling, treasury, statutory accounts, regulatory compliance, and financial controls. You will provide high-quality financial insight and analysis to colleagues across the organisation, as well as preparing and presenting reports to senior leadership.

You will lead a team comprising two Senior Accountants, a Team Leader, and the Rent & Service Charge Manager, creating a high-performing finance function that delivers an effective, professional, and customer-focused service across Hexagon.

This role requires ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while using your expertise to identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and help shape strategic decision-making.

Experience
- Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience
- Strong experience in forecasting and long-term financial modelling
- Experience ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of treasury, funding, and financial planning
- Experience leading statutory accounts and regulatory reporting
- Proven track record of improving finance systems, processes, and controls
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating teams

About you
- Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills
- Confidence to work with colleagues at all levels and challenge constructively when required
- Positive “can do” attitude with commitment to providing excellent service to colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders
- Experience working within social housing or another regulated environment is advantageous but not essential; breadth of financial leadership experience is key
