About the Role
As the Head of HR Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the UK’s parliamentary democracy by enabling members to carry out their responsibilities effectively. You will lead a committed team with diverse specialisms to deliver comprehensive HR services including HR Operations, Recruitment, Pay and Reward, Policy, HR Systems, and Workforce Insights to approximately 650 colleagues across the House of Lords Administration. You will be responsible for delivering a pay and reward strategy aligned with Our People Strategy, aimed at attracting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce from a wide range of professions and backgrounds. Additionally, you will continue to develop the newly created HR Operations teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR services, maximising the potential of HR systems. This role offers the opportunity to work within a unique, historic environment on the Parliamentary Estate, alongside a collaborative community of professionals dedicated to making Parliament happen.

Experience
- Strong experience across HR services with knowledge of public sector reward systems and trade union engagement
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities successfully, set and meet deadlines, and adjust plans in response to changing circumstances
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly both in writing and orally, and to influence a wide range of stakeholders
