About the Role
The Office of the Health Campus is leading an ambitious transformation of health education and community care in London. We are developing a pioneering Health Campus that integrates education, simulation, and real-world clinical practice to shape a future-ready workforce in health and social care. With state-of-the-art facilities including a simulated hospital, primary care training hub, and new academic buildings, we are creating an environment focused on innovation, collaboration and student-centred outcomes.
As Head of Technical Resources (Health Campus), you will play a vital leadership role within the Campus Management Team, working to deliver outstanding technical and scientific support across the Health Campus. You will lead and develop a multi-disciplinary technical support function, ensuring services are efficient, student-ready and aligned to our strategic vision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the campus technical support team, laboratories, and clinical teaching spaces
- Ensuring effective operation, scheduling, and utilisation of specialist facilities and equipment
- Overseeing compliance with UK health and safety legislation and university policies
- Managing technical resources, procurement, budgets and equipment lifecycle
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation across technical services
- Collaborating with academic staff, central services, NHS partners and external stakeholders
Experience
Proven experience in a technical management role within higher education or a related sector. Demonstrable leadership and people management skills. Strong financial and resource management experience, including procurement processes. Experience of implementing health and safety policies in laboratory or technical settings. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications
A relevant degree (or equivalent experience) is essential, with postgraduate or specialist technical qualifications desirable.
