About the Role
As the CDM 2015/Health & Safety Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing CDM services including Client CDM Advisor, Principal Designer, and Principal Designer Advisory services in accordance with the CDM 2015 Regulations. You will support the business and consulting projects by offering health & safety advice, conducting site visits and inspections, advising on health & safety processes and procedures, and addressing general health and safety matters.
This role involves delivering multiple projects and services within the Consulting business to support operations and growth aligned with the approved business plan. You will assist the HS & Quality Lead in maintaining CDM (SSiP) Accreditation and ensure projects comply with Consulting Processes and Procedures. Maintaining a strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and other health & safety legislation is essential, alongside working towards professional chartership.
You will support and manage health & safety meetings, lead lessons learnt and best practice sharing, and help establish the Consulting EHS reporting process (SIMPEL). Regular site visits, inspections, audits, and leadership tours will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring operational teams actively engage in these activities. You will assist project teams in producing and reviewing mandatory project documentation such as CDM documents, RAMS, TBTs, and SSOW.
Providing and maintaining CDM Client Advisor, Principal Designer, and Principal Designer Advisor services on direct appointments or in support of wider business activities will be key. You will manage the EHS team delivering CDM services projects and seek opportunities for new and continued client work. Maintaining Bovis Consulting’s Accreditation to the Association for Project Safety (SSiP) corporate membership is also required.

Experience
- Delivered diverse and complex projects as a Principal Designer under CDM 2015 across various sectors
- Experience managing both small and large scale projects
- Worked directly with clients supporting their CDM duties
- Provided CDM training to duty holders and employees
- Ability to advise project teams on CDM requirements
- Extensive knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and Duty Holder legal requirements
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and mandatory requirements

Qualifications
- Recognised health & safety qualification within the construction industry, e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate (NVQ Level 4)
- Maintain CPD and hold professional membership of a recognised H&S professional body such as IOSH, IIRSM, APS, working towards chartership
- Other desirable qualifications and achievements include:
-- NVQ Level 4/5 in Occupational Health, Construction or Risk Management
-- Certified Member of the APS or equivalent
-- Specific Principal Designer training by APS or RIBA
-- ISO9001:2015 Foundation course
-- Additional accreditations such as CSCS, SMSTS, PTS
