About the Role
Hillingdon Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Heathrow Expansion Project Manager to lead the Council's coordination and response to one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. You will play a pivotal role in managing the Council's input to the Heathrow Expansion Development Consent Order (DCO) process, bringing together technical specialists, external partners and stakeholders to ensure robust, timely and evidence-based submissions. Acting as the central point of coordination, you will oversee complex work programmes, manage risks, scrutinise technical evidence and support senior leaders and elected Members throughout the process.

Experience
- Significant experience managing major planning, infrastructure or environmental projects.
- Experience of Development Consent Orders.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and technical specialists.
- Experience of Environmental Impact Assessments (reviewing and/or authoring).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A good understanding of planning, environmental assessment and regulatory processes.
- Local Planning Authority work would be advantageous.
About you
You will be an experienced and motivated professional with excellent project management, organisational and analytical skills. You will be confident in managing complex work programmes, scrutinising technical evidence and supporting senior leaders and elected Members throughout the process.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in planning, environmental management, project management or related fields are desirable but not explicitly stated. A strong track record and relevant experience are essential.
