About the Role
Join Young Minds as a Helpline Adviser and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. You will provide vital support and guidance via phone, email, and webchat to children, young people, and their families facing mental health challenges. This role requires empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team committed to improving mental health outcomes. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to develop your skills and knowledge in this important area.
Experience
Previous experience in a helpline, counselling, or support role is desirable but not essential. A strong willingness to learn and develop is required.
About you
Empathetic and patient with excellent listening and communication skills. Able to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and care. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is essential.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required, although relevant training or experience in mental health, counselling, or youth work is advantageous.
