About the Role
As an HR Casework & Change Consultant at Lambeth Council, you will provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of HR issues including employee relations and change management. You will support managers and senior leaders by managing a portfolio of complex employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, and performance management in an effective and timely manner. You will also lead and support change initiatives, ensuring successful implementation by applying your expert knowledge of change management principles and best practices.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute positively to the ongoing changes and challenges in local government. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and supporting line managers to ensure sound management of employee relations cases, using your expert knowledge of employment law to identify and monitor key trends, and seeking opportunities to improve policies, management practices, and capability challenges.
Stakeholder management is a key aspect of this role, involving engagement with colleagues across the HR function and Trade Union representatives. You will be part of a driven and ambitious team committed to delivering excellent people management practices across the council.

Experience
Proven experience in managing complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management. Demonstrable knowledge of employment law and change management principles. Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders including Trade Unions and HR colleagues.

Qualifications
Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent experience in employee relations and change management are desirable. A strong understanding of employment law and best practice in change management is essential.
