About the Role
Lambeth Council is seeking a Practitioner Manager to join the Adult Social Care Mental Health Service within the Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA). This unique alliance delivers integrated mental health services in partnership with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Certitude, Thames Reach, and South London ICB. The role involves managing the daytime social care service alongside the team manager to ensure a quality, responsive, safe, and person-centred service that promotes the well-being of Lambeth residents.
The Practitioner Manager will supervise up to 8 social care staff, ensuring statutory assessments are assigned and completed on time and to high standards. Responsibilities include supporting social workers with case management, complex cases, safeguarding procedures, court of protection matters, and authorising assessments. The role also involves leading on specialist areas and service development initiatives in collaboration with other Practitioner Managers and the Team Manager.

Experience
Significant post-qualifying experience as a social worker is required. Previous management experience and experience working within mental health services is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act is essential.

Qualifications
