About the Role
Elevate power infrastructure at the forefront of global technology by joining Amazon as an HV/MV Electrical Design Engineer. You will play a key role in designing electrical systems that support Amazon's mission to transform how the world connects, computes, and innovates. Working within AIS AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS), you will contribute to the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continuous access to cutting-edge cloud services. Your responsibilities will include designing and managing high and medium voltage substation systems across multiple regions, developing comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software, collaborating with vendors and utility providers to specify optimal equipment, and creating detailed construction documents and technical specifications. You will support projects throughout their lifecycle, from site selection through commissioning and system validation. This role offers a dynamic blend of technical design, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic planning within a global engineering team dedicated to continuous improvement and technological excellence. Experience
- Design or construction administration of electrical distribution systems from low to high voltage
- Industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas
- Reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
- Experience with EPMS/SCADA/BMS controls system software or hardware
- Project management or project lead experience including RFQ/RFP processes, selecting engineering teams, budgeting, coordinating consultants, and facilitating meetings
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite

Qualifications
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License preferred
- Knowledge of regional building codes and regulations

- Familiarity with researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
- Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
- Skilled in using various web-based and software tools for calculation and data processing
