About the Role
We are partnering with an established organisation to strengthen its IT function by adding an Infrastructure Administrator. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of the day-to-day management and maintenance of a core infrastructure environment supporting a server estate of around 40 servers. Your responsibilities will include server administration, patching, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery, alongside providing 3rd line support for complex technical issues. This role is ideal for someone technically driven who enjoys problem-solving and is eager to develop their skills across infrastructure and cloud technologies. You will manage Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtual environments, backups, and infrastructure security, while using tools like SolarWinds and PowerShell to improve automation and efficiency. Additionally, you will support infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives within a supportive environment.

Experience
- Strong experience in Infrastructure or Systems Administration.
- Proficient with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Server patching and maintenance.
- PowerShell and scripting skills.
- Experience with Azure or other cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of Hyper-V and virtualisation.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery expertise.
- Infrastructure and server security.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SolarWinds, Veeam, Microsoft Defender, Intune/SCCM, FortiGate, or RMM platforms is highly desirable.
