About the Role
Join Synnovis, the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company, working in partnership with Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, and Princess Royal University Hospital. As an Integration Developer, you will be part of the Development team within the IT Solution Delivery Team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Synnovis Integration Engine using Microsoft BizTalk. This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple projects connecting applications internally and externally, supporting business-critical systems including console applications, services, ASP.NET websites, and APIs.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, solution designers, testers, and other developers to deliver effective integration solutions. The role involves development driven by project work, ongoing maintenance and support, and continuous enhancement to ensure high performance and reliability of the Integration Engine.
Synnovis is shaping the future of pathology services by creating a world-leading Hub and Spoke pathology network. From April 2024, services and staff will begin transitioning to a state-of-the-art Hub laboratory in Blackfriars, Southwark, SE1, with some work continuing at hospital sites focusing on urgent test turnaround.

Experience
- Essential: Development experience using the .NET stack including C# and MS SQL, and XML.
- Desirable: Experience developing integration solutions using Microsoft BizTalk and working with canonical data models.
About you
Clear and effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively within project teams and liaise with internal stakeholders including IT projects, infrastructure, and application management support teams. Knowledge of HL7 v2 and pathology domain experience is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Essential: Any training or qualifications related to .NET development.
- Desirable: Degree in a technology or development-related discipline and any training or qualifications related to integration development.
