Salary

About the Role
We are recruiting for an Interim Senior Strategy Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Nesta, the UK’s innovation agency for social good, working at the intersection of government, civil society and the private sector. Nesta’s Strategy Unit plays a vital role in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction and supporting the achievement of its missions to improve lives through innovation in early years, health, and sustainability.
As a core member of the Strategy Unit, you will lead and deliver strategic projects, drive future strategic reviews, and manage corporate routines to measure impact and progress. You will work closely with colleagues across Nesta, including the CEO, Executive Team and Board of Trustees, to provide insight and recommendations that influence key decisions. The role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to coach and mentor others within the team.

Experience
- Several years of strategy experience gained through management consultancy or an internal strategy role.
- Proven ability to lead projects addressing complex problems involving multiple senior stakeholders.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including financial analysis.
- Demonstrated project management skills with a proactive and reliable approach.
- Experience engaging and managing a variety of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of synthesising complex issues into clear, concise messages.
- Creativity and intellectual curiosity with the ability to adapt thinking styles as needed.
