About the Role
The EMEA Currencies and Emerging Markets (CEM), Commodities and Digital Markets Audit Team is responsible for assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment of the CEM, Commodities and Digital Markets (including electronic trading) business activities in EMEA. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage performed and managed by a team of business and technology audit specialists and coordinated globally with colleagues in other regions. As a Senior Auditor in the Commercial & Investment Bank Markets Team, you will develop and execute the annual audit plan, manage audit engagements, and oversee and perform audit testing. You will lead end-to-end audits, from risk assessment and testing to clear, impactful reporting, partnering with senior stakeholders while maintaining independence. This role offers front-row exposure to dynamic Markets businesses, the chance to spot emerging risks, and opportunities to drive innovation and automation in audit delivery.
Key responsibilities include planning, executing and documenting audit reports, including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting and follow-up verification of issue closure while ensuring audits are completed timely and within budget. You will work closely with global Audit colleagues to identify emerging control issues early and report them timely to Audit management and business stakeholders. Maintaining confidentiality and security of information in accordance with firm policy is essential. You will partner with stakeholders, business management, other control groups (risk management, compliance, fraud prevention), external auditors, and regulators, establishing strong working relationships while maintaining independence. You will finalize audit findings and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment through developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
Ownership of self-development, including stretch assignments to prepare for greater responsibilities and career growth, is expected. You will champion a culture of innovation, follow the firm's 'How We Do Business' principles, stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for game-changing innovations or strategic partnerships, and find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing new technologies.
Experience

About you
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build strong partnerships with senior business and control partners.
