About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our EMEA Consumer & Retail team based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work within a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking Consumer & Retail Coverage Group provides a full range of investment banking services to leading clients across the EMEA region, including many of the world’s foremost firms in the Consumer & Retail sector. The Group focuses on delivering creative solutions across the full investment banking product spectrum, including mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt capital market transactions, and top-tier corporate broking services, collaborating closely with other product teams.

As an Associate, you will play a crucial role in originating and executing investment banking mandates across all major product areas. Your responsibilities will include addressing client needs, enhancing J.P. Morgan’s franchise and reputation, and partnering across teams to develop client strategies. You will build detailed financial models, evaluate market data, and prepare and present client and internal presentations. Under senior leadership guidance, you will manage client transactions from pitch to close, devising innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Job Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of pitch documentation, financial analysis, and company valuations
- Develop content for strategic client meetings regarding M&A or capital market transactions
- Build advanced financial analyses, perform company valuations and M&A models with support from experienced bankers
- Assist in execution and day-to-day management of transactions and provide corporate broking services for LSE and AIM listed clients
- Liaise with other product teams (M&A, ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance) and third parties such as lawyers and accountants
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to Associates and Analysts

Experience
Prior experience in investment banking and/or corporate finance in front office roles is required.
