About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. The EMEA Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate, financial sponsor, and government clients. We maintain leading relationships with many of the most prominent clients in the EMEA financial services industry and support them through M&A and capital markets transactions to deliver on their corporate strategy and structure.

As an Associate, you will play a key role in originating and executing investment banking mandates across all major product areas. You will collaborate closely with the broader FIG team to address client needs and contribute to building J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will have numerous opportunities to partner across teams to develop client strategies, build detailed financial models, analyze market data, and prepare client presentations.

You will manage client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of senior team leaders, prepare detailed valuation analyses, models, and presentations, and develop innovative solutions to complex, real-world business challenges. Key responsibilities include coverage of the EMEA FIG market across various sectors such as banks, asset management, insurance, and FinTech; completing large and complex valuation and analytical exercises; supporting preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other materials for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue; supporting transaction execution including due diligence, document preparation, negotiation, and liaising with clients and other advisers; keeping abreast of key market and regulatory developments; and providing training, coaching, and mentoring of junior colleagues.

Experience
More than 3 years of investment banking experience with a specific focus on financial institutions.
Proficient financial analysis and modelling skills.
In-depth understanding of investment banking products.
Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers.
Training, coaching, and mentoring of junior colleagues.
