About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. The EMEA Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate, financial sponsor and government clients. We maintain leading relationships with many of the most prominent clients in the EMEA financial services industry and support them in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure through M&A and capital markets transactions.

As an Analyst in the UK FIG team within the EMEA Financial Institutions Group, you will play a key role in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates across all major product areas. You will work closely with the UK and broader EMEA FIG teams to address client needs and contribute to building J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace.

You will have numerous opportunities to collaborate across teams to develop client strategies, build detailed financial models, analyse market data and prepare client presentations. You will manage client transactions from pitch to close under senior guidance, prepare detailed valuation analyses, models and presentations, and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.

Job Responsibilities
- Coverage of the UK FIG market, including capital-light and capital-heavy sectors such as banks, asset and wealth management, insurance and insurance services, market infrastructure, and Fintech
- Completion of large and complex valuation and analytical exercises
- Support preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, memoranda and other materials for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
- Support transaction execution including due diligence, document preparation, negotiation and liaising with clients and other advisers
- Keep abreast of key market and regulatory developments and establish knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics

Experience
Approximately 1-2 years of investment banking experience, preferably with FIG exposure
Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills
In-depth understanding of investment banking products
Experience dealing with clients and other transactional advisers

Excellent technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint abilities and aptitude to quickly learn new software applications
