About the Role

The team holds a leading position across a variety of sub-sectors, including Capital Goods, Aerospace & Defence, Business & Support Services, Automotive, Building Products, Chemicals, Infrastructure, and Transport & Logistics. Our client base spans a large share of the UK&I listed companies as well as a vast array of private and sponsor-owned assets.
In conjunction with the breadth of the J.P. Morgan platform, we provide clients with advice on M&A (both domestic and cross-border), equity and debt issuance, capital structure, and corporate strategy. This advice is sometimes provided alongside a corporate broking role, involving extensive interaction with our equity research and equity sales teams, as well as senior management at the client.
As a UK&I Diversified Industries Associate, you will be instrumental to everything we do. Your role will involve direct engagement with C-suite management and Boards, collaborating with colleagues from various countries and product teams, including M&A, ECM, DCM, and others. You will advise our existing client base, market to potential clients (both public and private), and execute transactions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A or capital market transactions
- Interact daily with senior team members and client management to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
- Define, guide and review detailed valuation analysis, including DCFs, LBOs, trading comparables, and transaction comparables
- Define, guide and review detailed combination and other financial analyses in the context of M&A transactions
- Maintain regular dialogue with clients and potential clients
- Structure and execute transactions (M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets)
- Liaise with J.P. Morgan product teams and global sector teams
- Liaise with UK equities and research departments
Experience
- 3-5 years of traditional Investment Banking experience at a highly regarded institution (integrated bank or independent financial advisor)
- Experience covering UK&I Diversified Industries is a plus but not mandatory

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university
