About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London, including specialist care for patients from further afield. We are seeking a motivated and highly organised professional to join the Commercial Innovation team in the Trust’s Centre for Innovation, Transformation and Improvement (CITI). The successful candidate will manage a variety of projects, focusing on routine agreements such as Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), data sharing agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Additionally, the role will involve supporting team members on more complex Intellectual Property (IP) and Commercial Innovation projects, including conducting market analysis and assisting with IP due diligence.

Experience
Experience in commercial legal contract negotiation and detailed clause interpretation and negotiation, including IP related Agreements. Commercial healthcare or knowledge transfer experience in Public, University or Private sectors. Experience of business development and a strong understanding of business development methodology. Experience and understanding of methodologies for input and output based pricing of fee-for-service opportunities. Experience of financial management, particularly applying finance policies and invoicing procedures.

Strong relationship management skills are essential for building and maintaining effective working relationships within the team and with internal and external partners. Attention to detail and a commitment to process improvement are crucial for contributing to the continuous enhancement of internal procedures and team efficiency.

Qualifications
Essential: Degree and Masters in Life Science, Medical or Physical Science or Law related discipline or equivalent qualification or experience. Desirable: Legal qualifications, MBA qualification, or MSc/PhD in Life Science related disciplines.
