About the Role
Make a difference every day by contributing to the Care Quality Commission's mission to protect patients and improve safety in medical radiation services. Your work will directly support safer care and better outcomes for people across England.

In this national role, you will plan and carry out inspections of medical radiation services, ensuring they meet IR(ME)R regulations and taking appropriate action where necessary. You will manage risk and investigations by reviewing reported incidents, escalating serious risks, and supporting safe outcomes. Additionally, you will lead and support inspectors in your area, ensuring consistent, high-quality work and building strong relationships with key partners.

You will develop work programmes and deploy resources within the radiotherapy modality using a proportionate and risk-based methodology. This role requires travel across England and offers the opportunity to shape how CQC regulates the safe use of ionising radiation.
