About the Role
The Junior AI & Automation Analyst is an entry-level role supporting innovation at scale across Operations at Kobalt Music. This 3-month fixed-term opportunity provides hands-on experience in AI, automation, and operational improvement while supporting the team in reviewing bottlenecks in complex workflows and deploying practical AI-driven solutions. You will help bridge the gap between emerging AI technologies and day-to-day operations by supporting the wider operations innovation strategy. Under team guidance, you will assist in testing intelligent workflows, connecting systems, and enhancing processes across operations.

What You'll Do
- Support research, testing, and piloting of new AI tools, platforms, and models
- Assist in mapping and building automated workflows to reduce manual, data-intensive tasks
- Help use integration platforms and internal tools to connect systems and improve operational efficiency
- Support teams in utilizing AI-assisted tools to accelerate creation of agentic and repeatable business-focused solutions
- Document workflows and automations to ensure reliability and consistency
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand operational challenges and identify improvement opportunities
- Work with various teams to learn how the music industry ecosystem operates and how innovation supports creators and rights holders
- Participate actively in training and development opportunities to build knowledge of AI, automation, and workflow optimisation
What Success Looks Like
By Month 1: Building Foundations
Develop a strong understanding of Kobalt's operations, systems, and workflows while supporting research, testing, and documentation activities.
By Month 2: Contributing to Automation Initiatives
Support workflow mapping, test automation solutions, and assist with operational improvement projects, contributing meaningful ideas.
By Month 3: Delivering Impact
Successfully contribute to AI and automation initiatives, support operational improvements, and develop a strong foundation in workflow optimisation and emerging technologies, gaining practical experience applying AI to real business challenges within a global music company.

Experience
- Interest or exposure to AI technologies and automation platforms
- Basic data handling skills and understanding of clear, accurate documentation
- Comfortable learning new software and tools quickly
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or other technical tools through education, personal projects, or internships is a plus
- Experience experimenting with AI tools, Large Language Models (LLMs), or workflow automation platforms is advantageous
