About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award-winning meals and services. We supply a wide range of high-quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough and also support schools and businesses outside Havering with bespoke solutions.

As a Kitchen Assistant at Concordia School Kitchen, you will undertake the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual arrangements. You will support the kitchen supervisor in all aspects of the food service and assume responsibility for the food service in the supervisor’s absence. Our team is committed to preparing healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals using the highest quality produce, serving over 15,000 meals per day across our schools.

Experience
No specific experience is required for this role; enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute to a busy kitchen environment are essential.

About you
You will report to the Cook Supervisor or a higher graded operative and have no direct staffing responsibilities. You should be reliable, motivated, and able to work the hours as defined in the job profile. A positive attitude towards teamwork and food hygiene is important.
