About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award-winning meals and services. We supply a wide range of high-quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough and also support schools and businesses outside Havering with bespoke solutions.

The Kitchen Assistant role at Harold Wood School involves undertaking the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual standards. You will support the kitchen supervisor in all aspects of food service and assume responsibility for the food service in the supervisor’s absence. The post holder reports to the Cook Supervisor or a higher graded operative and has no direct staffing responsibilities.

Experience
No specific experience required; willingness to learn and support the team is essential.

About you
Reliable and motivated individual with an interest in food preparation and service. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully. A positive attitude towards working in a school catering environment is important.
