About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to deliver award-winning meals and catering services. We pride ourselves on supplying high quality, healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals prepared by experienced colleagues across our sites, serving over 15,000 meals daily.

As a Kitchen Assistant at Mawney School Kitchen, you will undertake food preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in line with the Council’s contractual arrangements. You will support the kitchen supervisor in all aspects of food service and assume responsibility for the food service in their absence. This role is graded at entry step Grade 1/2 and offers a supportive environment to contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen service.

Experience
No previous experience is required for this role. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.

- Reliable and committed to working the defined hours as per the staffing profile
- Willing to work term time hours plus additional cleaning days during school holidays
