About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award-winning meals and services. We supply a wide range of high-quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough and also support schools and businesses outside Havering with bespoke catering solutions.

As a Kitchen Assistant at Parsonage Farm School, you will undertake the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual arrangements. You will support the kitchen supervisor in all aspects of the food service and assume responsibility for the food service in the supervisor’s absence. This role is essential in helping us serve over 15,000 meals per day across our schools, ensuring healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals are delivered with the highest quality produce.

No specific experience is required for this role.

About you
You will report to the Cook Supervisor or a higher graded operative and have no direct staffing responsibilities. You should be reliable and able to work the hours defined on the staffing profile. Enthusiasm for working in a school catering environment and a commitment to delivering excellent service are essential.

No formal qualifications are required for this position. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
