Are you an experienced Child Protection Lead looking to expand your expertise beyond the school environment and contribute within an innovative local authority? Ealing Council offers an exciting opportunity for a creative and flexible thinker with extensive knowledge and experience in education to play a central role in social work reforms. We are committed to restorative and relational practice with families, encouraging them to lead assessments and plans. Our approach fosters trusting relationships with schools and partner agencies.

As the Educational Specialist in the Multi Agency Child Protection Team, you will work closely with colleagues to assess, make decisions, and develop plans for children and families in need of help, support, or protection. You will be instrumental in supporting schools and partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children across the borough.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract and/or secondment opportunity for Ealing Council employees.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Understanding of cross-phase school environments and how children are supported
- Experience working collaboratively with other agencies
- Ability to work at pace with strong attention to detail
- Skilled in collaboration and negotiation
- Competent in gathering, scrutinising, and interpreting education-based and social care data
- Report writing skills

Qualifications
