About the Role As Lead Disability Adviser, you will act as a senior point of contact within the Disability Team, providing support to colleagues. You will play a pivotal role in supporting students with disabilities, ensuring they have equitable access to education and the university experience. You will lead the team of Disability Advisers and specialist support staff, manage complex student cases, provide expert advice to staff, and collaborate with academic departments and external partners to implement reasonable adjustments. This is a one-year fixed term contract for maternity cover and offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant and diverse university community. About You We are looking for a highly motivated individual with: • Significant experience in providing disability-related advice and support in higher education or a similar setting; • Comprehensive knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and its application in an educational context; • Strong case management skills, including the ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with professionalism and empathy; • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external partners. • Experience of reviewing systems and processes and implementing change for continuous service improvement At Roehampton, we change lives by helping our students to develop the confidence, knowledge and adaptability they need for a successful graduate career and fulfilling life.
