We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless. We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track. About this role… We are looking for a Lead Worker to join the Deptford Reach team. The area of Prevention supports vulnerable people by providing them with skills, housing advice, accommodation, and tenancy sustainment support. All the services within the area of prevention work to help people transition towards leading independent lives. You will: Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with individuals that have a history of offending, mental health, rough sleeping and complex support needs. Support clients into employment, training and education. Provide direct support to 30 clients in the form of key working and case work management to meet clients’ needs. Therefore, enabling them to focus on employment, training and educational goals. Work collaboratively with other agencies including the local authority, substances misuse, health services, housing providers and employment and training providers. Empower individuals to take an active role in developing their own personalized support plans, and to identify their employment, training and education goals. Accurately record all work done in a timely manner and produce reports and case studies on a quarterly basis. To succeed as the Lead Worker you will have: Experience in provided a flexible and responsive service to people with experience of rough sleeping and homelessness. Excellent communication skills with the ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with all partners. Commitment to supporting people to achieve the best outcomes as they work towards independence. Strong organisation skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.
