About the Role
As the Learning and Development Programme Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of the Learning & Development programmes, ensuring the delivery of key milestones, objectives, and contractual requirements through detailed project planning. You will support the oversight of the annual Learning and Development programme and events portfolio, aligning activities with organisational priorities, commissioner requirements, and member needs. You will delegate, monitor, and review task allocations across programmes and events, working closely with the Director of Programmes to develop training proposals and agreements that meet member and commissioner demand.

You will act as the operational lead and primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in the planning, coordination, and delivery of iHV conferences and national events. This includes risk management, evaluation, and regular reporting to senior leadership for governance purposes. Budget monitoring and management will be a key responsibility, working alongside the Director of Programmes and Business and Operations Lead to ensure delivery within budget and achievement of forecasted targets.

Using project management methods, you will maintain oversight of all conference workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and effective escalation of issues. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, speakers, trainers, partners, suppliers, and venues to support successful programme and event delivery.

In collaboration with the Learning & Development team, you will support governance, risk management, and the implementation of new systems and processes, ensuring effective change management and adoption. You will also work with the Design and Publications Officer and Marcomms team to develop promotional and marketing materials to maximise engagement, attendance, and programme reach.

Proficiency in organisational systems such as CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoom/MS Teams, Eventbrite, Excel, and SurveyMonkey is essential to support planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes and events. You will identify opportunities for quality improvement, implementing changes that enhance efficiency, participant experience, and organisational outcomes.

Effective communication with L&D administrators and team members is vital to ensure stakeholders and participants receive timely and tailored information. You will manage and coordinate consultants, trainers, and lived experience speakers, ensuring all team members have the necessary information for each event.

As a line manager, you will provide supervision, support, performance management, and professional development to designated team members in line with organisational policies. You will produce and coordinate accurate operational, performance, and contractual reporting, monitor event attendance and feedback, analyse programme performance, and suggest improvements.

You will respond to enquiries relating to training, education, and Learning & Development at the highest standard. The role requires flexibility to undertake any other duties reasonably required by your line manager, reflecting the evolving needs of the organisation.
