About the Role
Southwark College, part of NCG, is seeking an ESOL Lecturer to teach young learners aged 16-18 as part of the Study Programme. You will be responsible for facilitating the linguistic development, empowerment, and integration of a diverse community of young ESOL learners. The role involves planning and delivering inclusive, high-quality lessons using a variety of teaching methods and tools. You will contribute to the review, planning, and development of the ESOL curriculum, including creating Schemes of Learning, lesson plans, teaching materials, and immersive experiences. Additionally, you will assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and support learner progress to maximise their potential. Collaboration with the ESOL team to implement assessment strategies and contribute to improving student achievement and retention is essential. This role also requires upholding safeguarding, equality, and health and safety policies while working within a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Experience
Experience in teaching ESOL or working with young learners is desirable but not explicitly required. A passion for ESOL education and the ability to engage diverse learners is essential.
