About the Role
Southwark College is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified Lecturer in Music for a one year fixed term contract. The successful candidate will program-lead and deliver teaching on Level Two and Three music courses within the Creative Faculty and contribute to the development of drama provision. You will inspire and motivate young people, fostering self-belief to support their academic success and personal growth. You will join a collaborative, friendly team of creative arts professionals working across dance, drama, art, media, music and fashion. Experience
Proven track record of professional study and teaching experience in drama specialisms such as acting, devising, directing etc. Experience of effective programme leadership in FE or HE is desirable. Demonstrated success in teaching and assessment practice is essential.

An engaging and innovative teacher who inspires learners to achieve. Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively. Excellent oral and written communication skills and good IT proficiency are essential.

Qualifications
Qualified to honours-degree level (Level 6) or to an industry-recognised standard in a relevant field. Must hold a post-16 teaching qualification. English and mathematics qualifications at Level 2 are required or willingness to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
