Description
The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology to join our sport and exercise science and allied health team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we expand our provision, with new programmes This role is ideal for someone who has subject expertise and professional practice experience in sport and exercise physiology and experience in designing and delivering higher education provision in this field. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment where they work inter-professionally and can continue to practice and research, whilst providing an outstanding student academic experience to develop high quality graduates in the field. Leadership, passion, solution-focussed, and good communication skills are key qualities of interest. The role holder will be expected to be a member of an appropriate professional body, for example The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), Clinical Exercise Physiology-UK (CEP-UK), The Physiological Society, or Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), and be in a position to provide expert professional practice experience and education to our students. We encourage applicants from all areas of sport and exercise physiology, in particular, exercise testing and prescription, performance physiology and environmental physiology. The role holder will also join an active research and knowledge exchange community and therefore have the opportunity to develop their research and professional practice contributing to the Centre for Integrated Research in Life and Health Sciences.
