About the Role
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are seeking a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Leo. You will be embedded with the Amazon Leo ground infrastructure services and operations teams, focusing on transactions across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Your responsibilities will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating a range of agreements such as contracts for gateway sites and the construction and operation of ground gateways. You will counsel the business team on legal issues related to Amazon Leo's ground infrastructure, including real estate, construction, and telecom matters. The successful candidate will develop creative, business-centric legal strategies and build processes that manage risk while allowing the business flexibility and speed. We are looking for someone enthusiastic about technology, who enjoys being challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment in ambiguous situations.

Experience
- Licensed to practice law in Europe, US, or another common law jurisdiction
- Minimum 5 years post-qualified experience as a lawyer
- Experience with commercial agreements and commercial transactions
- Preferred experience includes a mix of corporate law firm and in-house roles
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines

Enthusiastic about technology and legal innovation, able to work collaboratively with business teams, and comfortable navigating complex and ambiguous situations with sound judgment. You are proactive in developing legal strategies that balance risk and business needs.

Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction with a strong background in commercial law and transactional experience.
