About the Role
Neg Earth Lights Ltd, a family-owned lighting and rigging equipment supplier established in 1983, is seeking a Lighting Technician to join their team. Based at state-of-the-art facilities in Park Royal, London, the company prides itself on innovation, quality, and reliability within the entertainment industry. This role involves supporting the team in the preparation and maintenance of lighting fixtures, ensuring that hire stock is kept in excellent condition at all times. You will be responsible for cleaning, testing, software updates, addressing units, barcode scanning, and prioritising repairs to agreed standards and timescales. The role also includes small repair work, portable appliance testing (PAT) for moving lights and LED fixtures, and maintaining accurate systems and documentation. You will provide technical support to colleagues, freelance crew, and production teams while maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures, maintaining clean work areas, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks when required. Experience
- Working knowledge of moving lights and LED products
- Industry knowledge of suppliers and trends
- Basic experience in fault finding and repairs
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Strong IT and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Experience in planning, organising, prioritising, delegating, and overseeing workload
- Ability to work paid overtime including weekends as required
