About the Role
Croydon Affordable Housing (CAH) is a housing charity established by Croydon Council to provide high-quality, affordable homes for local residents. We manage a growing portfolio of approximately 346 properties and are committed to delivering excellent housing services, strong tenancy sustainment, safe communities, and positive outcomes for residents.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Housing Officer to lead the delivery of tenancy and housing management services across our affordable housing portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for a housing professional who thrives in a varied and rewarding environment. You will take ownership of complex tenancy management matters, support residents to sustain their tenancies, lead on estate management, oversee ASB and safeguarding cases, manage voids and lettings, and help drive service improvements.
Working closely with residents, contractors, local authority partners, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring CAH continues to deliver high-quality landlord services and achieve excellent resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on tenancy and neighbourhood management across the CAH portfolio.
- Manage complex tenancy cases including ASB, safeguarding, tenancy breaches, fraud, and legal enforcement.
- Oversee voids, lettings, tenancy sign-ups, and tenancy sustainment activities.
- Carry out estate inspections and ensure high estate standards are maintained.
- Monitor housing management performance and contribute to KPI reporting.
- Work closely with contractors and partner agencies to resolve resident concerns.
- Support rent collection activities and early intervention for tenancy sustainment.
- Supervise and support Housing Officers and other frontline staff.
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulatory requirements, and organisational policies.
- Promote resident engagement and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Experience
- Experienced housing management professional with a strong understanding of tenancy and estate management.
- Knowledgeable in housing law, ASB management, safeguarding, tenancy enforcement, and resident engagement.
- Confident managing complex casework and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Experienced in supervising staff and improving team performance.
