About the Role
The Loan Agency Associate will support the team in managing the full lifecycle of syndicated loan transactions. This role involves reviewing and negotiating loan documentation, coordinating deal onboarding, and ensuring all agency duties are delivered accurately and in line with internal processes. You will work closely with borrowers, lenders, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to maintain smooth operational delivery across a range of financing structures. This position offers strong exposure to complex transactions and the opportunity to develop deep expertise within a collaborative Loan Agency function.
Key responsibilities include supporting the VP in reviewing and negotiating draft transaction documents such as loan facility agreements, Common Terms Agreements, Intercreditor Agreements, security trust and intercreditor deeds, and other relevant agreements. You will assist in managing deal onboarding, coordinating new deals, confirming conditions precedent, and managing amendment, consent, and waiver requests with lenders and borrowers.
Additional duties include monitoring margin changes triggered by performance events or trigger dates, managing financial reporting covenant diaries, distributing covenant information to lenders, and maintaining relationship management with borrowers and lending groups. You will act as Security Agent, review Account Bank agreements, liaise with Mizuho as Account Bank, and complete internal ad-hoc tasks as requested.
You will also manage documentation and administrative activities, support projects to advance systems and processes, liaise with the Loan Agency Administration team to ensure timely processing of drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, prepayments, guarantee bookings, and fees. Ensuring primary and secondary trades are processed accurately and records updated, including Debt Domain, is also part of the role. Communication with customers, relationship managers, agent banks, and participant banks to ensure agency facilities are handled correctly in accordance with agreements is essential.

Experience
- Prior experience in agency/loans business
- Experience using Debt Domain including setting up deal sites and disseminating information to lenders
- Knowledge of Libor transition related amendments is desirable
