About the Role
Lead the Future of Adult Social Care at the Royal Borough of Greenwich. We are creating a new vision for Adult Social Care that places people, communities, partnerships and our staff at the heart of everything we do. Inspired by the voices of our residents and staff, and aligned with the NHS 10 Year Health Plan, we are transforming support delivery through neighbourhood-based, preventative and integrated approaches.
As a Locality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Greenwich's vision for neighbourhood-based Adult Social Care. Working across a defined locality, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and develop strong partnerships with health services, housing providers, community organisations and local residents. You will ensure adults receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing and choice, while helping to prevent, reduce and delay the need for formal care and support.
This strategic leadership role combines operational excellence with system-wide influence. You will lead the delivery of Care Act responsibilities, oversee service performance, manage resources effectively and drive transformational change across your locality. You will also help develop stronger connections between statutory services and local communities, ensuring support is built around people's strengths, aspirations and relationships.
Key responsibilities include leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams, building trusted partnerships across health, housing, voluntary and community organisations, championing strengths-based, person-centred practice and neighbourhood working, driving service improvement and delivering measurable outcomes for residents, managing performance, quality and resources to ensure excellent service delivery, and inspiring others around a shared vision for integrated, preventative support.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to influence system-wide change and help create a more connected, sustainable and empowering future for the people of Greenwich.
