About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Escort / Fabric Operative to join our team at HMP Belmarsh, a Category A male prison. Join a supportive and driven team that works Monday to Friday to create a safe and nurturing environment. HMP Belmarsh operates like a self-contained city, relying on hundreds of people to keep it functioning smoothly and safely. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to providing a safe and secure environment. This is an opportunity to use your skills to contribute to rehabilitation and positive change, making a real difference in the lives of others.

Experience
- Experience of working in a prison environment is desirable
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Previous experience within building fabric or Hard FM environment

Qualifications
- Up to date First Aid at Work qualification desirable
