About the Role
Join Babcock International and play a pivotal role as a Management Accountant supporting three Fire Training contracts within our Land Training business. You will be responsible for day-to-day financial operations, ensuring contract accounting integrity and providing insightful analysis to drive strategic decision-making. This dynamic role offers exposure to complex financial models, pricing strategies, and stakeholder engagement across multiple operational sites. You will contribute to the delivery of essential training services that support national resilience while developing your career in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment.

Key responsibilities include reporting monthly accounts, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans; building and updating financial models to track performance and challenge assumptions; delivering financial planning and analysis to support decision-making; supporting pricing activity and governance processes; and presenting clear financial insights to internal and external stakeholders.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract with a home-based working arrangement and occasional site visits as required.

Experience
- Interpreting and manipulating data to deliver clear financial messages
- Meeting deadlines and exceeding performance targets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working with finance systems such as SAP, NAV, or IFS

About you
Detail-oriented and proactive with strong analytical skills. Able to work independently in a hybrid working environment and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders. Comfortable managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality financial insights under pressure.

Qualifications
Ideally fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), though part-qualified candidates will be considered.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
