About the Role
As Marketing Executive with the Caribbean Team, you will support the Marketing Manager with planning and delivering marketing campaigns and activities. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys a varied role, from hands-on tasks to planning campaigns, travelling and collaborating with many stakeholders internally and externally. The position is offered on a fixed-term maternity cover basis and is based in our London office on a hybrid working model.
Role responsibilities include supporting the marketing manager with planning and delivery of annual marketing campaigns and activities, collaborating and being action oriented. You will write, develop and schedule content for email marketing, social media, websites, blogs and other digital platforms, being social media savvy and monitoring performance and engagement metrics to help optimise future content and campaign activity. You will create, coordinate and distribute digital and printed marketing materials, including catalogues, promotional assets, eSamples and campaign collateral.
Additional duties include coordinating and delivering marketing competitions, promotional initiatives and customer engagement activities; planning, promoting and delivering professional development programmes including webinars, workshops and teacher training events; building and maintaining relationships with authors, consultants, agents, booksellers, sales teams and internal stakeholders; supporting the organisation and delivery of key events including the Caribbean sales conference, bookfairs and sponsored events; travelling as required to support workshops, conferences and sponsorship activities across key markets; conducting market research and competitor analysis to inform future marketing activity; supporting budget administration activities including expenditure tracking and invoice processing; and preparing marketing updates, presentations and internal communications materials.
Experience
Experience working in a marketing communications role within an office environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a range of audiences and channels. Good understanding of digital marketing, including email marketing, social media and website content management. Ability to analyse campaign performance data and produce clear reporting and insights. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
About you
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Self-starter with a keen interest in Education and some solid marketing experience.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent. Desirable qualifications include Certificate/Diploma in Marketing or appropriate marketing degree.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience using CRM systems and marketing analytics tools, preferably HubSpot. Experience using website content management systems, preferably TYPO3. Knowledge of webinar platforms and virtual event delivery, preferably Zoom Events. Experience using design and content creation tools, preferably Canva, to produce marketing assets for digital and print channels. Experience within educational publishing, education or a related sector. Experience of work travel and/or long-haul travel.
