About the Role
Southwark College, part of NCG, is seeking a talented Maths Learning Mentor to support GCSE Maths students. Based at the Southwark College site, you will provide individual and small group support to learners studying GCSE Maths within a dedicated English and Maths Centre that you will manage. You will work closely with lecturers to maximize student potential by delivering tailored teaching and learning support.

The main duties include:
- Teaching GCSE Maths to individuals or small groups to support their learning
- Contributing to the review, planning, and development of the GCSE Maths curriculum
- Collaborating with the Maths team to devise and implement assessment activities
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to help learners develop their skills
- Keeping accurate records of student attendance and progress during support sessions
- Managing the facilities within the English and Maths Study Centre

Experience supporting learners in an educational setting is desirable but not explicitly required. A passion for supporting students with their studies is essential.
