About the Role
The Department for Education (DfE) is recruiting a creative, enthusiastic and politically savvy Media Officer to join our media team. You will play a key role in communicating our work to transform early years, schools, colleges, universities and children’s services in an innovative and engaging way.

As the lead department for the Government’s mission to break the link between young people’s background and their opportunity in life, we are committed to ensuring every child and young person has the opportunity to succeed regardless of their background.

You will be at the forefront of driving a campaigning approach to media and communications, using the full breadth of earned media to tell the story of our work to improve children and young people’s lives. You will work closely with Ministers, senior officials, and colleagues across communications teams including digital content, campaigns, stakeholder management and internal communications to deliver consistent, high-quality content.

We have a strong culture of inclusion and diversity and are committed to being an equal opportunities employer. We promote flexible working patterns to help staff balance home and work life and support a range of staff networks including BAME, LGBT+, Carers and EU/EEA Nationals.
